Welcome to Borderline Craft Beer

The Borderline Craft Beer website is opening its doors. One beer almost ready — the Borderline Pale Ale — and a Cold IPA in the works.

It has been talked about for years in the garage-turned-nano-brewery. Today, we’re opening one more door : this website.

What’s coming first

One beer, almost ready to ship :

  • Borderline Pale Ale — Cascade and Citra on a biscuit malt base. Aromatic, balanced, resolutely hoppy without turning into a wall of bitterness. A “moments” beer — aperitif, everyday meal, summer evening.

We say “almost” because we’re fine-tuning the last details. Starting format : 44 cl can, individually or in packs of 4.

What’s brewing behind the scenes

The next recipe is already on the tank : a Cold IPA. Cold lager-style fermentation, modern hop profile — clean, dry, expressive. More on it at release.

Our line, plain

  • Organic malt across the whole range.
  • In-tank natural carbonation : we reuse the CO₂ the yeast has already produced, industrial CO₂ is kept to the strict minimum needed to fine tune.
  • Aluminum cans : total protection of the contents from light and oxygen, and a much lighter footprint to transport than glass.
  • In-house hop garden in Mussy-la-Ville : local Cascade in some batches, when the harvest allows.

The detail of every choice is on the Our commitments page.

And what’s next ?

The next news pieces will follow the rhythm of the brewery : the hop garden in spring, brewing the Cold IPA, the first tasting events. You can already explore the Pale Ale — and place a pre-reservation if it tempts you.

See you very soon.
